Under Western Skies

Dubbo's newest event designed to support and encourage local artists.

It has proved to be quite different to other music festivals that you may have attended.

Organisers capped the numbers to ensure a good experience was had by all and the venue proved ideal.

The ambience was perfect, there was plenty of shade and parents could relaxed watching their children.

The snow cones were a hit for the kids; trying to decide what to have to eat proved to be the challenge, wood fired pizza, Vietnamese food or a simple sausage sandwich were some of the delicious choices on offer.

A great line up of local artists entertained us throughout the evening, kids enjoyed many activities the face painting and the sand pit proved very popular.

Well done to all involved to make this event successful, we are all looking forward to Under Western Skies 2020.

Black Dog Ride

The Dubbo 1 Dayer raises awareness for depression and suicide prevention in the communities they visit.

This year they went bush to visit the community at Mungery Hall near Narromine.

A fun day was had with a T20 cricket match, working dog events, live entertainment and a country style home cooked lunch.

This was the 6th year for the Dubbo 1 Dayer hosting over 200 riders, watching them stream out of the Macquarie Inn carpark in the morning was great.

Well Done to Wayne Amor and all volunteers behind the scenes making this fantastic event an ongoing success, lock in 15th March 2020 for next year’s event.
